President’s Speech

All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, worship Him, seek His guidance and forgiveness, and turn to Him in repentance. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our evil deeds. Whoever is guided by Allah cannot be led astray, and whoever is led astray by Allah, none can guide.

On March 17, 2020 AD, the Birmingham College of Humanities (BCH) was established by a group of British academics and Sharia experts. It is a distinguished project that fills a gap in Arabic and Islamic higher academic education in Europe. The College promotes the concept of learning Islamic Studies through its original language and texts; therefore, the main programme of the College is based on the Arabic language. However, there is an Islamic Studies Diploma that the College offers in English.

The college strives to qualify competent individuals in the fields of religious leadership and guidance in Europe. It also aims to equip teachers of Arabic language and Islamic studies by adopting modern educational theories and developing communication skills to serve education in the Islamic field. Additionally, the college offers master’s and doctoral programs in Islamic studies.

The college’s mission is based on graduating qualified individuals who can interact positively with their surroundings and society, capable of reflecting the ideal image of the teachings of Islam with a moderation approach, away from extremism and negligence. And I ask Allah, the Almighty, to bless the efforts of all those who contributed to the establishment of this educational edifice and to accept from them all that they offered.
